Updated estimates for uninsured women aged 40-64 under 250% FPL

The small area health insurance estimates for 2012 have been released by the U.S. Census Bureau. This data would be helpful in estimating the remaining uninsured population under 250% FPL. Komen Colorado was not able to estimate remaining uninsured under 250% FPL because we did not receive data from the Connect for Health Colorado marketplace about the number of people who purchased private health insurance plans that were eligible for tax credits and premium assistance for people with incomes less than 250% FPL. The estimated change in uninsured women aged 35+ included Attachment C is for all income levels, including above 250% FPL.

Based on this SAHIE data, Komen Colorado has estimated the remaining uninsured population of women aged 40-64 in all of the 22 counties below. Komen Colorado assumes 100% of women under 138% of FPL are ineligible for Medicaid and about 60% of women between 138-250% FPL are ineligible for WCC/BCCP:
