Notice on use of certain symbols in GeMS from Admin

Please read this notice from Komen Headquarters regarding use of a 'tilde' in grant applications- thanks, Admin

Attention all GeMS users:


The " ~ " aka "Tilde" for whatever reason cause errors when used in any of the narrative boxes. If you use that symbol no text typed after that will save. So please be aware if grantees contact you regarding about not being able to save no matter what they try, this could be a factor. This is not a big issue because of the infrequent use of the tilde, but It is a known issue we would like you to be aware of. Please discourage your grantee from using this character when inputting any text into any part of the GeMS system.
